I'll usually start with HE, and switch to AP when the enemy gives me a broadside. The British BB line is very curious but rewarding if you actively switch between round types. With DoY i constantly switch between AP an HE, but i stick with AP more, same with Monarch and Conqueror. In that case.burn 'em down.ĬAs are often situational. With QE i mostly use AP, almost never load HE.

Sometimes your AP is simply not going to do the job. If you have 150mm guns like Cleve, Omaha, AP can work if enemy cruiser shows broadside and is reasonably close, so shells hit at rather flat angle. If they put out the fire, switch back to HE.
